Facilitating Academic Growth

Virtual / one-on-one Tutoring

We don’t employ teachers and we don’t run classes.

At Frontline Learning, we provide personal one-on-one tutoring in private environments conducive to learning.

Tutors are young and are fresh off the back of completing the same courses they are now teaching.

Covering each aspect of subject curriculum at a critical level is only part of it – our tutors are engaging and interested in building relationships with students to help create a comfortable learning environment.

In our view, this is a requirement for the academic growth we are aiming to facilitate.

Lily, (Grandmother of Tipene) yr 12, April 2024

" Tipene says that Donald is really helpful. I am so pleased that he is responding so well to the tutoring.  Donald has been exceptionally good with Tipene which would suggest that he is a really good tutor. He has also been very obliging and accommodating and capably handles any tasks I would like him to do with Tipene"

Testimonials

Mary Graham (Deputy Headmaster of Sacred Heart College, Auckland)

"Frontline Learning provided our students with targeted scholarship tuition in the lead up to the 2021 exams.  Our students benefitted from tutors who were not only experts in their subject area, but highly relatable and familiar with the structure of scholarship exams.  Our additional tutoring provided the boys with timely feedback, practice plans and general guidance, helping them enter their exams with an enhanced level of confidence."

Amanda Jarvie (mother of Ollie and Jackson, Year 11 &13)
"My sons utilized the tutoring services of Frontline Learning over the past year.  They loved how easy it was to book sessions online and conveniently make any adjustments as schedules changed.  All of their tutors were great at tailoring the sessions to whatever was the priority for the boys. Most importantly they really liked their tutors and in fact regularly asked to book more sessions because they could see it was making a huge difference to their confidence and their results."

Testimonials

Rachael Gilligan, mother of Joseph yr 12

"My son had Year 12 Calculus tutoring from Frontline Learning.  He was fully capable of getting an "Achieved" Grade but needed confidence in handling the trickier questions. After working with his tutor, my son's grades lifted consistently into Merits and Excellences.  We were very happy with the outcome. We found his tutor reliable, flexible, easy to talk to and good at explaining.  I think it was particularly good working with someone young, who can still relate to taking the same exams.  We are coming back to get help with Calculus with year 13 next."

Donna & Owen Hicks, parents of Bailey and Ethan Year 10 & 11
"Having engaged Frontline Learning to work with our teenagers, we have been extremely impressed.  Our tutor understands the curriculum and has been able to support and reinforce the learning being done at school.  He talks through the content in a way that the boys can relate to, while at the same time challenging them to work through examples and helping them achieve a far better understanding than if they were doing it themselves.  The boys looked forward to their weekly sessions, and we will continue to use Frontline Learning for the foreseeable future"
